FAQs

We are excited to know that so many of you are going to continue working with us. For those of you with more questions, we put together a FAQ sheet to better explain the concierge model.

Q: What is the difference between what my experience was like in 2020 and what it will be like in 2021 with the new system?

A: It will be fantastic to be part of our concierge practice. We don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that you will get unprecedented access to Dr. Glueck and peace of mind knowing your questions and needs will be addressed comprehensively and immediately.  We have state of the art ultrasound equipment for imaging and thyroid biopsies all performed and interpreted by Dr. Glueck, on-site clinical laboratory for all specialized hormone testing and a CLIA certified andrology lab.

Q: How will scheduling appointments be different?

A: We will be able to provide same week, and often even same day appointments. Dr. Glueck will be able to accommodate evening, weekend and telehealth appointments to improve convenience.

Q: How will lab and test results be handled?

A: Dr. Glueck will provide your lab results to you on the same day she receives them from the lab. Should you have any questions after reviewing your results, Dr. Glueck will be available to pick up the phone and call you personally.

Q: I’m not fully understanding the concierge fee. What do I get for that?

A: Included in the fee, you’ll have two appointments annually with Dr. Glueck. For many patients, that’s the only fee you’ll pay the entire year. Additional services such as labs, ultrasounds, biopsies and additional visits will be handled through insurance just like usual.

In addition to those two appointments, you will be part of an exclusive program with unparalleled access to one of the top endocrinologists in the country. Dr. Glueck is an Assistant Professor in Medicine affiliated with both Northwestern Medicine and Rush University Medical Center. She is a sought after speaker at national medical conferences, educating other endocrinologists and specialists. By limiting the number of clients in her practice, she will have more time to educate you about your endocrine health.

Q: I plan to continue working with Dr. Glueck because I want the best for my endocrine health. Do I need to take any action?

A: While you’re welcome to let the office staff know that you’re continuing with us (which is always great to hear!), you don’t need to take any action at this time. For those who are transferring care, please let us know if you would like any help with the transfer of your medical record. Our goal is to make that a smooth transition process and most physicians will have access to your records through the Epic electronic medical record system.

Q: When is the concierge fee due?

A: Your credit card will automatically be charged on the morning of your first visit on or after February 1, so when you arrive at the office, you’ll be all set and ready to focus on your health.

Q: Is any of the concierge fee covered by insurance?

A: The concierge fee is not covered by insurance, it is an out of pocket cost.  However, since we are still in network with your insurance company, you can submit the itemized claim for each of the two yearly visits on your own.  You will be reimbursed directly by your insurance company for the visits.

Q: Can I use my FSA or HSA card to pay the concierge fee?

A: Yes, absolutely!

Q: What if I usually only need to see Dr. Glueck once a year?

A: The concierge fee includes up to 2 visits and comprehensive endocrine care for the 12 month period via phone/mychart and coordination of care with other physicians.  Most patients do need and benefit from twice a year labs and follow up.  However, if you don’t, Dr. Glueck is happy to meet with you for an optional wellness check-in as part of your service. These appointments are designed to give you guidance on what you can do to improve your overall health, with special attention to endocrine issues.
